Castle Jump Privacy Policy

Kota Studios ("we", "us") makes Castle Jump (the "App"). We respect the privacy of everyone who plays it ("you"). This policy explains what information the App handles, why, and what you can do about it.

The short version: Castle Jump does not ask for your name, email, location, contacts or photos. There is no account to sign up for. Your progress is saved on your own device. The only information that leaves your device is anonymous technical data that the Unity game engine sends to Unity Technologies, described in section 4.

By installing or playing the App you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App and delete it from your device. If you are under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian has read this policy with you.

2. Children

Castle Jump is a game for general audiences, and children may play it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The App has no chat, no social features, no sign-in and no way for a player to type in or send us personal details. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal information (for example by emailing us), contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

3. Offline play

The whole game can be played without an internet connection. When your device is offline, no information about you or your play leaves it.

4. Information the App handles

4.1 Game progress, kept on your device

The App saves your progress, such as levels reached, coins and gems, upgrades, boosters, skins, daily reward days and settings like music on or off. This save file stays on your device. We never receive it and cannot see it.

4.2 Anonymous technical data sent to Unity

Castle Jump is built with the Unity engine, made by Unity Technologies. When the App runs with an internet connection, the engine may send Unity anonymous technical information such as device model, operating system and version, graphics hardware, screen size, language, and the Unity version used. Unity uses this to improve its engine. It does not include your name, contacts or anything you type. Unity handles this data under its own privacy policy.

4.3 Information you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you.

4.4 What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email (unless you write to us), phone number, precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera input, advertising ID, or payment details. The App does not use analytics or crash-reporting services run by us.

5. Why we use it

We do not sell, rent or trade information about you, and we do not use it to build profiles or show targeted ads.

6. Third parties

The only third parties involved are:

We may disclose information if the law requires it, for example in response to a valid court order.

7. Ads and in-app purchases

The App currently shows no ads and takes no real-money payments. Any shop items priced in real money are not available yet. We plan to add these in a future version. If we do, we will update this policy before that version is released. The update will name each ad or payment provider, explain what data they collect, and describe any choices you have, such as opting out of personalised ads.

8. Local storage

The App stores its save file in the App's own private storage on your device. The App does not use cookies.

9. International transfer

Kota Studios is based in Australia. The anonymous technical data in section 4.2 is processed by Unity Technologies, which may store and process it in other countries, including the United States, under its own safeguards.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act and the Australian Privacy Act may give you the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, or to object to how it is used. Because we hold no personal information about players beyond emails you choose to send us, there is usually nothing for us to hand over. You can still contact us at any time and we will answer within 30 days. For the data Unity receives, you can also contact Unity directly using the details in its privacy policy. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority (in Australia, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner).

11. Deleting your information

To delete your game progress, uninstall the App or clear its data in your device settings. Because we never receive the save file, deleting it from your device deletes it for good. To delete emails you have sent us, contact us and we will remove them.

12. Security

Your progress never leaves your device, so it is only as exposed as your device itself. We keep any emails you send us in a password-protected account. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we hold to a minimum.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when we add new features to the App. The date at the top shows the latest version. For important changes, such as adding ads or purchases, we will update this page before the change reaches the App.
